I review quite a few credit
cards as an editor for this Web site, but there are so few times
when I can actually say that the card I am reviewing is in my
wallet. This is one such occasion. The American Express Platinum
Business card is a nice, solid business credit card.! -

| • I got my American Express
Blue card last November, and was pretty happy with the service;
I could check my account online, seemed to be very widely accepted
etc. After spending around £700, the minimum payment was
only £12. I phoned AMEX and asked them if I could set
up direct debit. I did this and thought everything was okay.
It turns out that I had only paid off the minimum each month;
I thought I was paying the maximum, and stupid as it may be,
I never used to check my bank accounts or credit card bills,
phone bills etc. Everything was done by direct debit, and I
ran up a huge bill as I was only paying off the minimum each
